If You Have No Muse, Make It Life

A Poem

If you have no muse,
make it life,
and art becomes art becomes art.
Pull from what you know,
and more from what you don’t.
Pull yourself apart.
Try to understand
the whole world,
fail completely,
never stop.
There is a romance
in it all.
There is a rage.
If you have no love,
make it heartbreak.
If you have no heartbreak,
make it Earth.
If you aren’t inspired,
make it so;
you’re surrounded,
you’ll see.
If you have no muse,
make it life,
and rage becomes love becomes art.
